Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

This is a great book. While I was listening to it I knew I was going to listen to it again. I might even buy the book as well. I don't know if you can compare it to the Martian really, this is a great book in and of itself and I don't want to try and compare them. This is just after my first read through, so I'm not sure yet.
The storyline is engaging, the science seems right on, the plot is compelling, and the narration is great; the narrator owns it. This seems like a made for audio audiobook.
It was very hard to stop listening to this book. This is one of those books you will probably sit down and listen to.
This is definitely worth a credit, and you won't be disappointed.

A really great book.
Reviewed: 02-06-20
This was a great book. It's laid out in a logical format and progresses at a steady pace. John starts out by giving you some highlights about what he is going to get into. Then he dives into each one in a methodical and clear way giving facts and stories reinforcing the data and oftentimes uses stories from his own life and career. John then follows up with a summary of each topic at the end of the book with some more context and how they each connect. There are also free charts, forms, and questioners you get access to when you buy the book and they are awesome.
It is, however, a pretty deep dive into each topic, and not light reading. If you try and answer the questions he asks about yourself there's going to be a lot of internal back and forth but there is still plenty of value if you're not the journaling type. Sometimes I had to stop and think about what he was saying and let it sink in, which is when I grabbed my highlighter. If you're the kind of reader that really wants to chew on the subject matter like a steak and give it some thought, I'd recommend the paperback edition of the book. If you are used to audiobooks and don't mind listening to it once or twice I highly recommend the audiobook because John reads the book himself and I think you get a little more context from his voice then the pages. I really enjoyed listening to him.
If you're interested in the Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification, and still on the fence, I would highly recommend this book. I am working my way through the certification now, and a lot of the coaching mindset comes out in this book and a lot of the Precision Nutrition principles are baked into this book. I would also highly recommend the certification for those on the fence.

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night. But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway - a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors.

A wonderful tale that is like a woven tapestry that is told strand by strand. You will not fully understand the story until you have finished it. This mirrors the way the main characters learn and grow as well. Wonderfully written and narrated as well. Worth the credit and the time. I plan on listening to it at least twice more to fully understand it.

Story
Explore the captivating events and people of the Wars of Scottish Independence. The borderland between Scotland and England has historically been a site of struggle, violence, and conflict. This was acutely so during the First Scottish War of Independence. The tumult during this medieval period was grand, presenting a historical stage filled with memorable larger-than-life figures such as Edward I, William Wallace, also known as "Braveheart”, and Robert de Bruce. In this audiobook, you'll discover the revolutionary events that formed both Scottish and English history.

And it was a great read as well. Took my awhile to get used to the narrator, but as he is reading a textbook, more or less, he did a fine job.
The pace of the information was good, and interesting. In the beginning they give a brief overview of the material, then the go in deep, and afterward give another overall summery, that was very helpful as I was already a bit unfamiliar with the subject material.
I just finished watching Outlaw King, and wanted a bit more background without having to get to deep, and this book was perfect. I listened to it twice in a row.

The White Lich has conquered Tanar Atain. Soon, he means to take the entire world. Dante suspects his next target will be Bressel, where the Tanarians have established their court in exile. The only chance to stop the lich will be to forge a fragile alliance between the bitter enemies of three different lands: Tanar Atain, Mallon, and Narashtovik. The city stands on the brink of rebellion. Yet even if Dante, Blays, and Gladdic can unite it, they still might not have the strength to stand against the army of the lich.

Story
Though Han Solo has thrilled Star Wars fans for decades, the notorious wisecracking scoundrel was chasing adventure and dodging trouble long before he walked into the cantina at Mos Eisley spaceport. Young Han dreams of someday soaring into space at the helm of his own starship and leaving his home, the gritty industrial planet Corellia, far behind. But as long as he's trapped in a life of poverty and crime - and under the thumb of the sinister Lady Proxima and her brutal street gang - reaching the distant stars seems impossible.

It took me a while to get used to the dramatic narration with music and sound affects, but this isn't my first Star Wars audiobook, and they are all like this.
I also enjoyed the extra insight into the characters and different perspectives than what you can get in the movie. Which if you enjoyed, you should get the this.
