Story
Food has the power to temporarily alleviate stress and sadness, enhance joy, and bring us comfort when we need it most. It's no wonder experts estimate that 75 percent of overeating is triggered by our emotions, not physical hunger. The good news is you can instead soothe yourself through dozens of mindful activities that are healthy for both body and mind.

It took awhile to get through this book but every tip I took note of and have been applying since day one. I am an emotional eater and back in my 20’s and even 30’s I’d just do some exercise and the extra calories never really ended up weighing me down….now in my 40’s I can exercise three hours and the pounds just keep increasing. (This is an exaggeration of course.)
This book gives some great insight and very good tips anyone can start applying (you don’t have to finish the book to start the change in your eating habits.)
Shopping sprees are super fun for me but I’ve had to place myself on a budget. Window shopping is fun as well, but again within a month I pretty much purchase what I’ve seen if the store still has it. I’m trying to say the tips are great and you just have to balance which ones you choose from day to day :) She gives us a lot to choose from and I believe very singly one would help deflect emotional eating.
Thank you so much for this book.

Four Stars for the Ending.

This was an interesting story. Some details were a bit out there but as a fictional story it was good. I did not like the part about lying to his wife BUT I must say the author did a great job ending the book.
I do not want to give anything away, I don’t mind spoilers but others do. I love Joe. I found myself yelling at Alex….a lot. Gloria, Greta and CIA guy were truly weird but wow, two of them really knew how to kick butts.
Taylor should have figured things out…she’s that smart but she’s also very trusting in her husband, Alex. Carol’s story just made me love Joe more.
This story has some sad parts….yeah, I cried some real tears. There were also parts that completely infuriated me. And there were parts that made me smile ear-to-ear.
I appreciate the author ending it how he did and would like to thank him.
