Story
Kell is one of the last Travelers - magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel universes. As such, he can choose where he lands. There's Grey London, dirty and boring, without any magic, ruled by a mad King George. Then there's Red London, where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire. There's White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne. And once upon a time, there was Black London...but no one speaks of that now.

Wonderfully Done

An outstanding example of writing and narration. This story has everything and in proper quantities. Intrigue, love, fear, danger, adventure, and the genuine need for contemplation. Most of the time I honestly hadn't no idea its direction, or next turn, but also not totally surprised. I thoroughly enjoy every bit of it and thankfully the narration was perfectly suited as well. Lovved it.

Story
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

This book is extremely predictable and the main character is everything I don't like about a person. The life lessons are self evident and the reading was tedious. The performance was great, the material is a waste of time.

I love William Shatner. I love star trek. I love all types of story lines but... the push of transgenderism was non-stop and just too much. it over whelmed the story by far. I gave a fair shot. I got 4hrs in before I quite.

Story
The irascible A. J. Fikry, owner of Island Books - the only bookstore on Alice Island - has already lost his wife. Now his most prized possession, a rare book, has been stolen from right under his nose in the most embarrassing of circumstances. The store itself, it seems, will be next to go. One night upon closing, he discovers a toddler in his children’s section with a note from her mother pinned to her Elmo doll: I want Maya to grow up in a place with books and among people who care about such kinds of things. I love her very much, but I can no longer take care of her.

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night. But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway - a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors.

Good story telling 👏

Over all, I very much enjoyed this story. It is refreshing to read (hear) good writing, i am finding it harder and harder to find in new books. The idea, the visuals it creates and the imagination is wonderful. It's a magical place. There are many time jumps, making it hard to follow sometimes. Towards the end it did start to drag a little but picked up just in time. The narrator does a great job (I've heard his voice in other audio books) but all the man characters sound like old men, puts things off a bit. overall still great experience!

good but slow
Reviewed: 06-10-24
At this point in the series it has been my least favorite book. The story was very slow moving the bond between phurry and cormia is a little difficult to believe. The was mainly long-drawn-out sessions of phury and his addiction just going round and round. Thankfully ward is very good at cooperating other areas of the entire storyline into each novel which kept thing going.

I love the movie, I watched it 1st, many times. This was my first book of his and I must say, his writing is amazing, original and entertaining. It is actually found it difficult to follow sometimes, needing to rewind wondering what the hell just happened. I also noticed that he sometimes is just is being redundant with ridiculous needless words and a couple times that got annoying but in no way diminished the end product. ..im glad i finally got around to "reading " it.
