Story
Shera, the new Head of the Consultant’s Guild, faces more responsibility than she ever asked for. The Guilds are in a state of open war, her Consultants have been forced to relocate from their ancestral home, and Elder cultists plague the streets. In their tombs, the Great Elders stir. With the sky cracked and more Elders rising than ever before, Shera and her faction of Independent Guilds seek a truce with their Imperialist opponents. But they know that any alliance is a gamble.

Sorry it’s over. Great story writing.

I love Will Wight’s writing style in these books. I listened to one book in the series, then the first book of the second part. After that, I listened to both books simultaneously (few chapters of one, then few chapters of the other) It was awesome to hear both sides of the story at the same time. Very creative way to write the story. I absolutely loved it. Sorry its over.

Story
Being an unwanted twin in the Imperial line of succession, Farilane became a scholar, adventurer, and in a time when reading was once more forbidden—a book hunter. Her singular obsession is finding the mythical Book of Brin, a tome not just lost but intentionally buried. Respected and beloved by the Teshlor Knights, not even their legendary skills can protect her for what she finds is more dangerous than what she sought.

I’ve been looking forward to this book for over a year. Probably longer because I devour anything by MJ Sullivan. I only have two negative things to say. One, I was so enthralled by the story, it ended too quickly. And two, I’m glad I was listening to the audiobook because I would have never been able to read the last few pages because of the tears in my eyes. What a great book! I love Farilane.

I was very eager to get my hands on this next series. I haven’t been disappointed. Mr Sullivan, you are a master of the written word. I love that I get to “go” to these places and live in this world for a time. Thank you for your time and creativity. And to Mrs Sullivan, thank you too. You’ve added the perfect “touches” to bring the story together so smoothly. Can hardly wait for the next book. It’s Kick-Starter time!

I loved the first books. Hated the loss of characters in this book. Too much like real life. I read to escape the downfalls of real life. Silly as that may be. It would be nice to see characters that weren’t so “human”....so subject to instinct.
