Story
Gui is a professional cleaner at A Fresh Start, scrubbing away the unpleasant layers of memory that build up on the personal objects of his customers. Memory-blind himself, he can’t feel those wounds. Clara can, and she prefers them irretrievable. Until her sister, Beatrice, ultrasensitive to memory, raises one that could change Clara’s mind. For Gui, the past is gone. For Clara and Beatrice, deciding what to remember reaches to the heart of their shared history.

I need more time in this universe to truly understand the way memory cleaning works, to get to know the characters more. And I really, really want too! Very intriguing and thought provoking

Story
Fletcher Connolly hasn't got a lot to lose. Since he and half the galaxy signed on to the rat race of the technological relics trade, Fletch has come to terms with the idea that he will join the ranks of unlucky explorers that perish light years from home without a dime to his name. But bankruptcy is a great motivator. With friends and family counting on him to strike it rich, Fletch embarks on an unwilling quest for alien treasure.

Intergalactic adventures with an Irishman. The luck of the Irish is not with Fletch as he travels across galaxies on the interstellar railroad. The reader follows along with Fletch from one mess to another across 4 adventures in this Audible volume. It is light-hearted and comedic in a way that feels reminiscent of Hitchhikers, but whereas Douglas Adams left us in a pile of nonsense, Felix Savage actually takes us somewhere. Fletch is a man with morals, sometimes loose, and no real life purpose. From beginning to end, we get to see him grow and stretch a bit until he finds an ending he didn't quite expect..yet probably did deep, deep down.

Story
The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio's back lot - searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.

Loved the narration. I would easily get swept away and forget it was only one person creating the characters. Note to the HSP: strong language, mild mention of drug and alcohol use, and sexual references, but no actual sex.

Story
Austen wrote, 'I am going to take a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like' and thus introduces the handsome, clever, rich - and flawed, Emma Woodhouse. Emma is perfectly content with her life and sees no need for either love or marriage; nothing however delights her more than matchmaking her fellow residents of Highbury. But when she ignores the warnings of her good friend Mr. Knightley and attempts to arrange a suitable match for her protegee Harriet Smith, her carefully laid plans soon unravel and have consequences that she never expected.

loved this audio drama!
Reviewed: 02-01-19
Emma is a fantastic, light hearted Austen read. Listening to this audio drama was well worth the time. Emma Thompson was fantastic! And hearing it 'acted' out, brought the story to life.
My biggest complaint, and it took me right out of the story, was the actors voicing several characters. Mrs Westin and Emma would be talking and I couldn't tell who was who!
Still, I hope Audible is planning on making more audio dramas like this one.

not my cup of tea
Reviewed: 01-21-19
This was a struggle to the finish line. Gothic and slow. I failed to relate to the MC because she had this weird yearning for her conjoined twin she never met because she died at birth. Is that a real thing that can happen?? Seems waaay too strange. The mystery was the only aspect I truly enjoyed.
In this audiobook, there were also very strange, elongated pauses that had me checking to see if my player had stopped. Very annoying.

I really enjoyed this last audiobook. There was an incredible amount of action, especially compared to the never ending mountain scenes of book two. Jason is certainly more of a stand up guy in this book as well. As we neared the end, I was wondering how could this book end satisfactorily, and it was perfect. Jack Campbell simply MUST write more in this world. Until then I will be checking out his other series, Lost Fleet.

Story
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

With the many questions this raises, I can see how it has become a classic. The language is poetically written, but so wordy. Man, did people really talk like that? I listened to the Audible version narrated by Dan Stevens. He had a good voice for all the emotions. The mixing actually seemed a bit shady at points.
Overall, I can be proud to say I read it, but it wasn't my cup or tea.
