I completely enjoyed listening to this book! Having it narrated by the author totally absorbed me into Fay's adventures. I was no longer just a listener hearing a book being read. I was suddenly Fay's travelling companion: I was by her side, sharing her sometimes harrowing, sometimes touching, and usually unexpected adventures! Fay's voice delivered all the emotion of the situation, letting me become immersed along with Fay. Having grown up in the fifties myself, I could certainly understand and relate to the problems and realizations Fay experienced. I truly enjoyed my time spent with Fay, and encourage everyone to take off with her, too!
