Initially I liked the idea but I found the main character incredibly annoying - which isn't a good start to a book. Not really enough "science" given the title of the book - more of a really bizarre murder / mystery.

Small item: The writer should also have a better idea of the audience - I cringed every time the Colorado Bureau of Investigation character referred to her "baby glock" sidearm (I assume he meant Glock 19? Glock 43?).

The gray man is a believable spy series - a little long but great plot line / great character development

Not sure how this disruptive innovation escaped traditional history books - the diesel engine was a critical part of the industrial revolution. Written like a novel and researched / reported as a documentary - Brunt does a fantastic job of this critical part of history.

I'm a big Vivek fan and really enjoyed his first book (where he was the reader). In this book, he does the introduction, but is not the reader of this book (although he reads the preface / introduction). Because of the topic and authentic passion of the author, this is a book I feel needs to be read by the author - I was mildly disappointed throughout the book as the reader lacks the enthusiasm and passion of Vivek.

I'm not necessarily providing a spoiler alert but readers should know this book is not sequential like all of the others. I was an hour into this and deceased characters came into the story - which didn't make sense so I did a little research and this takes place around 2011, not 2024 - so just make sure you understand that as you start listening.

New author is pretty good - not as good as Kyle Mills and a few holes in some of the characters but overall a great story - a "must read" to be sure. Set expectations a little lower and you'll love it.

A great read - same characters, good story. Silva has moved from espionage to more art-related themes, which I enjoy. There are some holes in the plot and Allon is losing some of his "spidey-sense", as he (spoiler alert) gets abducted in a manner that is so incredibly simple and in complete indifference to his super-spy training - it was as if Silva had forgotten what made Allon such a great character. Overall - a must read. But in my opinion, not nearly as immersive as his previous book.

Another Grisham classic - and verifiable proof that there is no way he actually wrote his last book, Sparring Partners, which was so bad most of his die hard fans (like me) refuse to believe he actually wrote it.

Camino Ghosts, on this other hand, has a great plot, twists, turns, and is beautifully written. Solid, well developed characters and intrigue to the very end. Please keep writing these, Mr. Grisham.

Final note - beautifully read by Whoopie Goldberg - a public figure I do not care for but can acknowledge her narration skills are brilliant, beautifully read.

When is the CIA finally gonna learn Court isn't the bad guy?

I don't want to give anything away but clearly the writer has a beef with Elon Musk - one of the main characters is an exact carbon copy.

It's a great story - the main-ish character (Cameron) is an incredibly immature / annoying person and I had a hard time getting past that. But a great story.
