Story
All Mina ever wanted was to escape her father's control. Half human, half vampire, she lived eternally torn between two worlds, never fully experiencing the pleasures of either until her father chose her as the pawn in his latest political move, gifting her to the darkly powerful and dangerously seductive Malachi Zion. Malachi is not a vampire to be trifled with. He rules with an iron fist and has a reputation for the darkest of sins. But the longer Mina spends with him, the more she realizes he's not the monster she first thought.

Bravo Kate reading and James hit it out of the park. I love all of Mrs.James's novels that I've read so far but this novel is breathtaking. you'll find yourself screaming no along with the character Merry. Kate brings the story alive, as she always does. What a wonderful pairing of these two. Two wonderful storytellers make the story come alive. James by pin and kate by voice. Extraordinary job ladies, thank you and I look forward to the next performance.

He does not expect to be paired with a woman - especially not the legendary Pink Carnation. Only the English government knows that mad 73-year-old Queen Maria was spirited away by a group of loyalists determined to rally a resistance.

Another great book

Even though it says it's the final in the pink carnation series, hoping she'll leave a door open to have more books with Jane and all the other characters we love. A lot of twists and turns but a great ending. Pease Lauren write more books with pink carnation. this is definitely a series I'll be able to read over and over again. Smart, funny, and it makes me think maybe I wouldn't get burned alive if I lived in the 18 hundreds is being a witch for being so headstrong.

At a ball in Belliston Square, she ventures across the gardens and encounters the mysterious Duke.

I have a way, becoming attached to characters. when I saw this book when in death of two characters I despised, I hesitated. Wanting to know what happened, I decided to go ahead and add this book to my library. not only was I pleasantly surprised but overjoyed I'm getting to know these two dark characters better.
