What does Dan Shorewood bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His low steady gait gives the story air to paint the image of the characters in my mind as I listen rather than quickly scanning to the love scenes.

Any additional comments?

Love this narrator, and can't wait to hear more from him!

What made the experience of listening to The Color of Heaven the most enjoyable?

Jennifer O'Donnell's narration with her subtle inflections and emotive exposition. The dialog was nuanced and she knew how to get out of the way of the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Color of Heaven?

The plunge into the frozen lake scene. I found myself holding my breath I was so immersed in the story and what the protagonist was going through.

What about Jennifer O'Donnell’s performance did you like?

Her characters are well voiced and she really captured the emotional tone. I found myself near tears several times.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!

Where does Private: Bradley Manning, WikiLeaks, and the Biggest Exposure of Official Secrets in American History rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's in the top 5 for content alone. This had a lot more information than anything the press has put out on Bradley Manning and has extensive accounts from his friends and soldiers he worked with.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Private: Bradley Manning, WikiLeaks, and the Biggest Exposure of Official Secrets in American History?

I liked the parallels drawn between the computer expertise Manning and Assange, coming up at different times in the evolution of computers and information systems. Reading about BBS's and the origins of hacking, then countering that with more recent developments in social media and hacker culture was really enthralling.

What about Rob Granniss’s performance did you like?

He gave a really good reading to the technical sections of the book, and wasn't doing overblown impersonations of the people involved.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Reading about Bradley's political aspirations in the context of his current trial and realizing he'll most likely never be able to pursue them.

What made the experience of listening to The 40-Year-Old Version the most enjoyable?

Hearing the author reading it. He really knows how to deliver the funniest parts and is very heartfelt when talking about raising his kids.

Which scene was your favorite?

There's an essay about his unsuccessful flirting with a banker which made me think of a Ricky Gervais type of character.

Any additional comments?

This is an infinitely better Father's Day gift than a tie.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sword Bearer?

The magical quality to foods seems a new twist on the genre. I almost get the sense that Teddy is a nutritionist based on how much focus he has on magical power being tied to diet.

What does J. M. Badger bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His pacing is perfect for battle scenes. I really feel the excitement and don't want to bother flipping pages.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Take the first step of the journey to the Dark Lord...

Any additional comments?

JM Badger's narration made me want to break out my D24 and play some D&D!

If you could sum up Under His Hands in three words, what would they be?

Spank, spank and spunk.

What other book might you compare Under His Hands to and why?

It's erotic carnality and BDSM plot devices has a hint of Francis Ashe's Just Let Go.

Which character – as performed by Trina Devlin – was your favorite?

Luke, since I'd very much like to get Sarah under my hands....

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

That most of the scene actually consisted of teasing and spanking play and only a bit of sex at the end.

Any additional comments?

What made the experience of listening to A Hunter's Breeding Trap the most enjoyable?

Ginger has a stern quality to her voice that lent an edge to the description of a bleak post-apocalyptic setting.

What other book might you compare A Hunter's Breeding Trap to and why?

Werewolf Sex Club by Stroker Chase, because they both feature bound ladies being ravished in the woods.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yeah, it's a but longer than a quickie, but definitely a start to finish listen!

At first Clementine's voice seemed a peculiar choice for a young submissive, but as Emma's character develops it's clear she has things weighing on her from her aunt and other pressures that make the narration very appropriate. Her voice lifts well for Emma's dialog and gets deep and sexy for the passionate sex scenes. Clementine's cold, stern voicing of William is excellent as well. I'd definitely recommend it to friends. (Well, the ones into kinky tales)
