Story
On a hot August night, Lt. Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, speed through the streets of Manhattan to the Down and Dirty club, where a joyful, boisterous pre-wedding girls’ night out has turned into a murder scene. One of the brides lies in a pool of blood, garroted in a private room where she was preparing a surprise for her fiancée—two scrimped and saved-for tickets to Hawaii. Despite the dozens of people present, useful witnesses are hard to come by. It all brings back some bad memories for Eve.

Story
If you can count on one thing from "Madea" Mabel Simmons, star of Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Madea's Family Reunion, it's that she's got something to say. She's the beloved, hilarious, sharp-witted, pistol-packing grandmother who's watching out and speaking her mind. Now Madea is telling her own story, dishing her memoirs and hard-won, hilarious wisdom in her own inimitable voice (with a little help from her friend Tyler Perry).

I throughly enjoyed this audio book! I was sad when it ended because Madea just cracks me up! I listened while at work and I’m pretty sure my colleagues think I’m a bit goofy, but oh well! Aren’t we all? Excellent job Mr. Perry! And btw, please don’t retire Madea!!! She’s loved too much to never hear or see her again. 😊

In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women—mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends—view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

I truly enjoyed this series…however I do hope Ms. Roberts writes another because who doesn’t want a double wedding for Breen & Marco? Also Ms. Kreinik totally deserves a mention for she is an excellent narrator! 😁

I so wanted to give up but I kept listening due to other reviews. It’s a very good book but you must pay attention to detail. Once it got going you really wish it would keep on going with details...but it doesn’t so it is what it is. It would be great if there was a sequel to this story!

Carnissa Gardner, the last prophesied Black Witch, drove back the enemy forces and saved her people during the Realm War. Now a new evil is on the horizon, and her granddaughter, Elloren, is believed to be Carnissa's heir—but utterly devoid of power in a society that prizes magical ability above nearly all else.
