I couldn't get into the story, it just seemed to drag on. The other 2 were so great and I'm just getting through this one to get to the next.

JF seems to be coming into her own with this one. Also the repetitive back story of the first two is toned down (thank god) and the action isn't delayed. Higher stakes and more adventure. A great read!

I didn't like that a man performed this at all. Besides that fact that it didn't make a lot of sense to me that a man performed it, I also thought he was awful. He was very melodramatic in a way that made an already fantastical story even more unbelievable. There is a lot of exposition and internal thought that I could do without but the characters are interesting and the story kept my attention. Worth the download.

I was worried that a high school book would be too young for me but it's dark enough to not feel like a little kid's book. The world created by Jordan is fascinating and the characters are very round.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No, it had potential to be really interesting but fell flat for me because of the lack of character development and slow pace.

Would you recommend Soulless to your friends? Why or why not?

No, it couldn't keep my attention.

What about Emily Gray’s performance did you like?

She did a great impression of Victorian modesty.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A more believable romantic tension.

If you could sum up Cruel Enchantment in three words, what would they be?

Racy, violent, hot

What about Gracie Lockhart’s performance did you like?

Very natural.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was sometimes embarrassing and appallingly perverted at times but ultimately a good guilty pleasure.
