Has great moments to witness. Little too stretched in the middle, science explanations like Andy Weir likes to do. Fantastic audiobook performance.

Manipulatory. Complete nonsense and waste of time. What the hell am I reading about? Could be summed up but instead drags.

First part in which the story of building the lab was interesting, but then tone changed to boring and...

Women's rights activity, the occult, and cutting-edge-back-then science views as background to very real human existence as a whole - I did not expect that. Well, maybe a little - check out the author's biography.

I looked for an essay on the topic and I've got it: concrete, to the point, just wow. Do I (and you) agree on the message, and the foundations of it is another topic.

Please consider in defence of the author that in the day of steam machines psychologists invented the term "ego decompression" and where now we talk about "living in the simulation" due to progress in IT the author in around 1900 gravitated around modern-back-then science to explain psychological and religious topics.

TLDR: if you are interested you will read it anyway, if you are not then you won't. Material is in consensus with other reports across the ages.

-

Little experience actually reported, most of the report is about surroundings and accompanying situations - I see the author focusing much on giving anything that can be tangible to authenticate the experience.

There are 2 parts of the book: 1 - before the author's acknowledgment and interest in the phenomena; 2 - after author's experience was written down he then studied the existing knowledge about it. The part 1 gives little details actually, while 2 is an echo of all consensus that is known for ages.

The most valuable part for me was explaining Hemi-Sync technology and how the brain works (and how it didn't work for the author). Everything else was weak - but it's not something that you can do better just after 1 NDE and in 1 book. What is important is that book encourages gnosis - you can explore the topic yourself, just search for "spiritual growth", Audible is full of this material. And for that, I think the book succeeded in its goal.

The extra 1-hour afterword (after 5 years of releasing the book) is a great addition to the book.

A very clever point of view is used in the book that becomes apparent just at the end when everything clicks together! Performance sometimes is loud sometimes quiet, I found it confusing at first that female red male story but given the information that this book conveys it should not be a problem :)

A coworker recommended this book to me - this not only transformed how I handle my communications in work but in every aspect of my life: as a husband, family member, mentor, and student. Oh, I wish I knew about this sooner. There are certified trainers of this communication method and I plan to follow it up with extra training. These teachings surely improve not only my communication but also what I get from life.
