Story
With Japanese and Buddhist roots dating back hundreds of years, wabi-sabi is a world view that centers on the acceptance of the changeability and imperfections of life, of self, and of the world around us. Finding beauty in that imperfection and changeability has been the key to thoughtfulness, peace, and tranquility for many since its use has become more widespread.

Awkward pauses, monotone in weird ways, and not at all a soothing voice I want to hear so close to my ears.

Says the word God way too much
Reviewed: 10-08-23
This book talks about how you don’t need to believe in god, but then turns around and outlines the key steps with some of them saying stating needing to trust in god. It was quite annoying. The word god was mentioned too much, especially in the introduction and chapter afterwards. It would have made it much easier to connect to if the book had more inclusive terms. It is difficult to listen to an audiobook playing and suddenly have to constantly think about the concept that was just stated and put it into Buddhist or more general terms. And because the focus is on that, it makes it more difficult to internalize or memorize the real gold nugget of information.
Also, the audiobook voice actor or narrator is really great!

Extreme Lack of Diversity in Examples

Almost all examples given are of Sis White Males. In order to have comprehensive knowledge about the subject in which you are studying, equal representation within examples is a must. The author did not consider their audience at all.
