Story
Eighteen baffling true crime cold cases—solved! The truck sat in the drive on flats, an electrical cable powering a freezer in its cargo hold. What's inside is the stuff of nightmares. A man is seen running from a burning house. Inside is the badly burned corpse of a young woman. Are the two events connected? The savage murder of a disabled woman sends police on a decades-long hunt for a cowardly killer. One small detail might unlock the mystery. Fire had always been John Veysey's friend. Sometimes it put money in his pocket. Other times, it covered the evidence of his evil deeds.

Story
I'd been living on the streets for around eight months before I lost count. It wasn't easy, but it was still preferable to what I had to deal with at home. In all that time, unable to trust anyone, I had been alone (I knew from experience that people always failed you). Then one day, while out searching for food, I stumbled upon this mangy dog being attacked. It wasn't a big deal to help him, but then he ended up saving my life which is when I realized there was something special about him: Muttface wasn't a normal dog - he was crazy intelligent.

Story
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

The story felt like I grabbed hold of a log in a river and it just took me on a ride, flowing quickly and purposely to a certain demise. Only to be saved at the very last second. Excellent listen.

The terms are simple: Rapp agrees to leave the country and stay in plain sight for as long as Cook controls the White House. In exchange, the administration agrees not to make any moves against him. This fragile détente holds until Cook’s power-hungry security adviser convinces him that Rapp has no intention of honoring their agreement. To put him on the defensive, they leak the identity of his partner, Claudia Gould.

And it practically saved his life when two government agents showed up in the diner in pursuit of him. Now Quinn is on the run from those agents and who knows what else, fleeing for his life.

Story
Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

How it all began. The story starts at the beginning of Court's career. lots of back story and it was interesting how each chapter bounced back and forth to his first big mission 12 years ago and his current related mission today!! nicely ties up both missions in a satisfying bundle!!
