Story
Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship - the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be.

Even though this book is a novel, I imagine many friendships suffered through political division, similar to what has been happening in America. It was a gut wrenching story, but had a somewhat uplifting end. Forgivenesses, no matter how difficult sometimes brings peace and always builds humanity. I loved this book. Well worth a read!

I have been interested in the Holocaust since I was in college in 1972. I am not Jewish and so I am not sure where this intense interest came from. As a nearly 70-year old woman, my interest has only grown with age. This book touched me to my very soul. I will never forget it, and certainly will never forget the Holocaust and the bravery of those who experienced the horrors.

Story
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Hated the narrator. Started out pretty interesting, but became quite slow and hard to follow. Was disappointed in ending.
