Story
When mystery author D. B. Ziegler is late delivering her book, Abi Schore steps in to help. Surely she can give her favorite author moral support over the holiday break and get the manuscript to her boss at Tea & Sympathy Publishing in time for the new year. When Abi shows up on Ms. Ziegler’s doorstep bearing holiday treats, she’s met by the author’s handsome grandson Dov, who reveals a startling plot twist. His grandmother isn’t able to finish the book and Dov promised he’d complete it so fans won’t be disappointed—a task that’s harder than he ever imagined.

Excellent story even if I'm not familiar with the events of Hanukkah. My only complaint is that the book wasn't longer. I love that the two main characters have so much interaction with each other. Will look for other stories from the author

Story
Nora November is alive—but she wasn't always. She was once clinically dead, having spent several minutes under water after a terrible surfing accident she doesn't remember. What she does remember from her time in a coma is her grandfather, who passed away over a year ago. And a beautiful garden. And the most delicious tomato she ever tasted. Now that she's awake again her life has been cleaved in two. In the Before, Nora lived like a ghost, drowning under the weight of her parents' expectations. In the After, she's determined to accomplish the things she left undone before she died.

I’ve read/listened to several books by this author, some multiple times. As a rule, I’ve enjoyed them. I was very disappointed that the 2 characters don’t reunite again until chapter 43. I wish I had known before I started listening.

Great story that didn’t require fluff to make it entertaining. I hope there’s a sequel regarding the stolen paintings and Max. Well I’d like an update on all the family. I hated to see it end. I guess it’s the hope we all have a fairytale future.

Robyn Carr doesn’t disappoint. The story is very well thought out and I really enjoyed it. I hope Logan, the police detective in the book has his on story. Now I need to go hunting for it.

The women in the stories are weak. They do exactly what brainless females do to get themselves and the men that love them in danger. Don’t think I’can read any of the others in the series.

I liked the story. Just a little bit left and will read the next book. I really don’t understand why it was necessary to take the Lord’s name in vain though and often. Hopefully the author will stop stereotyping the male characters in the next book. Shows a lack of character IMO.

I love a tough guy story but I could do without the BDSM. Not necessary to hear about butt plugs in the books I listen to. I’m sure the story will be good but I’ve read the 50 shades of Gray series so I’m shelving this one. Oh well.

Who cares about bragging rights when you’ve just found the woman you’re going to marry? Sure, she may work for my biggest competitor. Sure, she’s not dating right now. I quit then picked it up again a couple of times. I compare romantic comedy to my favorites SEP or Rachel Gibson. There were a few lol moments but it seemed the writer had to fill pages with bs. Idk. I just found the characters lacking. Also, unless I’m angry with myself about something, I generally try to not cuss. I’m not a big fan of the f bomb and these supposed well educated, well bred, individuals throw it around a good bit. The story just wasn’t for me.
