Story
Marigold Cartwell has only one goal: to defeat her long-time rival on the archery field. She knows she can outshoot irritating, cynical Tristan Gates, but the local bowmen’s society—the one he belongs to—refuses to allow women to compete. Spurred on by their rejection, Marigold decides to start a new society. Naturally, it has only one rule: no men.

The story was wonderful, absolutely loved it! I did not care for the performer’s voice for Marigold it was grating to my ears. Wish she would have used a less high pitched, little girlish, annoying tone.

Highly recommend this sweet story. You will not be disappointed. So happy to have the Gresham Chronicles on audiobook. I have loved this series for over 20 year and was beyond thrilled to see it on Audible. I hope they will bring the Tales From London series to Audible as well!

Story
Julia Hollis’ opulent life in Victorian London crashes to pieces when her husband passes away. Worse, she is told by his bankers that he gambled away their fortune. Now the family’s hope rests on The Larkspur, an old abandoned coaching inn in the quaint village of Gresham. Driven by dread and her desire to provide for her children, Julia decides to turn the dilapidated inn into a lodging house. But can she - who was accustomed to servants attending to every need - do what needs to be done and cope when boarders begin arriving?

Story
Austen wrote, 'I am going to take a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like' and thus introduces the handsome, clever, rich - and flawed, Emma Woodhouse. Emma is perfectly content with her life and sees no need for either love or marriage; nothing however delights her more than matchmaking her fellow residents of Highbury. But when she ignores the warnings of her good friend Mr. Knightley and attempts to arrange a suitable match for her protegee Harriet Smith, her carefully laid plans soon unravel and have consequences that she never expected.

This made our trip from Kentucky to Colorado feel so much shorter! We enjoyed it very much. It was like an old fashioned radio program. I do hope Audible plans to do all of the Jane Austen series this way. I will buy them all!!
