Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Story
Now, in audio for the first time, The Birth Partner remains the definitive guide to helping a woman through labor and birth. The Birth Partner includes thorough information on preparing for labor and knowing when it has begun; normal labor and how to help the woman every step of the way; epidurals and other medications for labor; pitocin and other means, including natural ones, to induce or speed up labor; non-drug techniques for easing labor pain; and more.

Good but audio sucks

The book overall is good. I imagine reading the hard copy is better. At times the exact thing said is repeated verbatim( not sure if this is the recording or what). Also I had to increase the reading speed to 1.4 because listening to it on normal speed sounded like it was recorded at two separate times. One being a person and the other time a bot. Or by 2 people and the audio recording at times were too low (the person recording voice was very low and other times had a high pitch) so something’s off there and was very annoying. So for me it was having at 1.4 speed that way I couldn’t tell the difference much.
