Story
A widower with four adopted daughters, Emmit McKay likes to keep a handle on things. But nothing can prepare the former FBI sharpshooter for the battles coming to his small hometown, especially the one which arrives in such a tempting package. Savannah Walker moves to Blue Creek to take over as principal of the school Emmit’s daughters attend. With a masters’ degree in education and a no-nonsense attitude, she is caught off guard by the behavior of the McKay girls and never expects to fall in love with them - or in lust with their father.

I really did like this book, I loved the narration of the kids voices and the adults but the kids were great.
I enjoyed the mystery of this story..

Really enjoyable

I read this quite a while ago and enjoyed the story, having listened to it narrated by Mace Earl Finn I loved it even more.
I really do enjoy a shifter book, Goyles do not get enough wrote about them.
Mace had a deep timber voice which really does lend itself to this genre of story.
Listen to a sample you won’t be disappointed.

Story
The 25th-century government transported Sheridan and Taylor to their city hoping to find a famous scientist to help perfect a devastating new weapon. The same government has implanted tracking devices in the citizens, limiting and examining everything they do. To complicate matters, the mob-like Dakine has interest in getting hold of them, too. The only way for the girls to elude their pursuers is to put their trust in Echo, a guy with secrets of his own. The trio must put their faith in the unknown to make a harrowing escape.

I have to say I really did enjoy this story, I like the idea of time travel and how language could change 400yrs into the future and what those people thought of our time, I will be listening/reading book 2 as I want to find out what happens in the next instalment.
I was a little surprised by the narrator as the story is set in the US and the main characters are 2 women, he sounded like he is from North/West England but I have to say after a while you did not notice his accent.

Wow, I loved this story and will be reading/listening to more of Jessie G.
The story flowed quite nicely and you got a feel for all the characters and the struggles they go through.
The only real gripe I have with the audio is that there was no pause between the end of the chapter before the saying of the next chapter but it does not stop you from enjoying it.

Oh how I loved listening to this book. I had read the book and bought the Audible as I love it so much.
The narrator is really good at making you laugh and cry in all the right places. I can not wait to listen to book 2.
Job well done.
