Story
In the middle of diapers, dishes, papers, or presentations, deep down, we long to live a life of purpose, with a bit of adventure. But if we do something, we think we have to do everything - and do it in Africa. In Across the Street and Around the World, Jeannie Marie shows us we can change the world right where we live, work, play, and study - by learning to grow genuine, spiritually deep friendships with people from other countries, cultures, and faiths. Marie gently guides us away from common cultural missteps, so we can offer Jesus in a winsome way....

Story
Too many workplaces are driven by cynicism, paranoia, and self-interest. But the best ones foster trust and cooperation because their leaders build what Sinek calls a "Circle of Safety" that separates the security inside the team from the challenges outside. Sinek illustrates his ideas with fascinating true stories that range from the military to big business, from government to investment banking.

Interesting Book but not a fitting Title
Reviewed: 07-21-21
The book had some good insights and I found it interesting, however there was a lot more academic scientific parts than I expected. The title led me to believe the book might be on servanthood and putting your team before yourself but it was less a book about good leadership and more a book about why people make the decisions that they do and what motivates people. (Knowing this can help a leader, it just wasn't what I expected based on the title).

Great book on the premise for missions!

In some ways this book might have been better to sit down and read, than to listen to, because of so many scripture references and thoughts to consider, but it was still good on audio and worth listening to.
