Many thumbs up

Great story and even better lessons to be learned from native wisdom. A nice blend of indigenous stories and true histories of what natives underwent before as well as after the horrific effects of colonization by whites.

Story
A living legend, “Wildman” Steve Brill leads us on a lively and entertaining tour through the Northeastern United States as he shares tips on foraging in densely populated areas like New York’s Central Park and rural areas throughout New England. We follow the seasons: wild ramps in the spring, the first mushrooms of summer, and in autumn, wild edible berries in Central Park—more than you’ll find at your local supermarket!—plus roots and nuts you can keep all winter long.

Loved this guys origin story and this reminded me there's so much more edible stuff out there than just mushrooms as good as they are. Thank you for the inspiration 🙏

Story
Public confidence in financial markets depends on the perception that they are fair and just, not distorted or manipulated to the advantage of particular traders. This is the story of those who have sought illicit advantages, and how markets and investors can protect themselves against the dark side of human nature.

Interesting but missing some details

Interesting book on history of taxes. I will say it is deeply upsetting though when an author falsely identifies slavery as not being a primary reason for the civil war. This is demonstrably untrue and is the answer white Christian conservatives want us to believe because they don't want to admit slavery was that bad. It's also unfortunate the author incorrectly states that socialist countries are worse off than American capitalism. AGAIN, demonstrably untrue. Socialist countries fair much better than our capitalist culture. Many of the Socialist countries that aren't as thriving has to do with the fact that American government has intervened in their democratic elections. Please do your research before writing a book. Thank you.
