very jarring to her the mispronunciation of Were(animal) said in the form of WE ARE conjunction instead of WARE like it is supposed to be. during "psychic talking" or "phone talking" narrators voice get's very soft and quiet that even at max volume on my device I needed my noise cancelling headphones to hear what was being said. overall garbage from the narrator and I personally feel all books in this series done by her should be REDONE by the narrator that has done more books than this one as she is much better and doesn't mess up words.

extremely jarring going from the narrator that has done the majority of this series to this narrator. Constant mispronunciation of words from mythology that appear often in the series. At normal speed on the player it feels like she is rushing her reading of the story.

he has very little range when it comes to the characters dialogues and even made Galadriel sound like a MAN. his non dialogue narration was drab and hard to listen to. I shan't be listening to this book again by this narrator I'd rather read the physical copy than put up with this boring sack of crap again it quite ruined my love for the trilogy I don't think I shall waste my credits on getting the last two books unless it's to just have the entire collection and get through them all at least once. the recording company that used him, if it even exists anymore, should consider having all four Lord of the ring books (including The Hobbit into the series) redone with a more competent voice actor to do the books justice.

Narrator has a droning voice and a VERY small range for the different characters. Men and Elves all the major races (men elf dwarf and Bilbo a Halfling) sound like dwarves. His interpretation of the songs that are sung is quite jarring and throws off the immersion into the story. his pacing for the non character narrations is constantly in flux further ruining the immersion into the story.

Trini Alvarado did a much better reading for this book set compared to her first job doing the song of the lioness quartet. her tone isn't as bland and her voices are done much better than her first run.

Tamora Pierce and the Full cast family make gold once again in this reading of the second book in the series "The Immortals" quartet it's like I'm a child again and listening to old fashioned radio shows that my gramps used to play for me when I visited him before he passed.

the full cast audio family and Tamora Pierce pull the reader into the magical realm of Tortall in a way that the narrator for the "Song of the Lioness" Quartet couldn't do.
