Heart moving even though at one point I couldn't stand Kisha. But I had to build a tolerance for her dark behavior. at the end she themed out to be a person with a heart.

Story
Type "Kingpins of Memphis" in any search engine and you'll see images of Craig Pettis and his alleged crew, and that's how Ethan Wade Carruthers prayed it remained. Though he had never met the youthful-faced man covered in diamonds, he knew the information he found wasn't completely accurate, because he should have discovered his own face and crew. Not that he expected to pull up any results under the name Ethan Wade Carruthers besides an old missing person's report on a 16-year-old boy from the south side of Chicago. Why would he, when Ethan didn't have a life, nor a past?

Story
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

She Ready
Reviewed: 08-24-18
Prior to this book, I did not take her very seriously. This lady is a true rag to riches story, she narrates her story so well, it feels like you're two best friends drinking cocoa while she shares her secrets with you. This book should never become a movie because the big screen would never capture all of the emotion, beautify, comedy, trauma, and realness as her audiobook!!
It is a must listen, even if you read the hard copy, listen to her tell her story. She makes you feel like she's sitting right across the table from you talking.

Story
They were just kids when Claudette McPhearson took them all in. Eight of them all together. All different races and ethnic makeups, but she loved them as her own. One woman taught them how to love, trust, and respect one another. She was the only glue that kept them together, the only one they wanted to please and never let down. She had been their light at the end of a long troublesome tunnel - it shined so bright. Then, one dreadful day, it all came to a crashing halt.
