Story
A Great Winged One will soon arise and cast his fearsome shadow upon the land. And just as Night slays Day, and Day slays Night, so also shall another Black Witch rise to meet him, her powers vast beyond imagining. So foretells the greatest prophecy of the Gardnerian mages. Carnissa Gardner, the last prophesied Black Witch, drove back the enemy forces and saved her people during the Realm War. Now a new evil is on the horizon, and her granddaughter, Elloren, is believed to be Carnissa's heir—but utterly devoid of power in a society that prizes magical ability above nearly all else.

Story
Gwen's never wanted to be a leader, but when no one else stepped up, she took on the role. As the mayor of post-apocalyptic Shreveport, she's made decisions to protect her people...and most of them have backfired disastrously. When she discovers the dangerous gold dragon lurking outside of the fort has decided she's his mate, heartsick Gwen thinks the best thing she can do is confront him and take him far away from the city. She does this to save her people - her sister, her friends, her fort. She doesn't expect to understand the dragon. She certainly doesn't expect to fall in love.

Story
Some people greet the day with open arms. Sheriff Sunshine Vicram would rather give it a hearty shove and get back into bed, because there’s just too much going on right now. There’s a series of women going missing, and Sunny feels powerless to stop it. There’s her persistent and awesomely-rebellious daughter Auri, who’s out to singlehandedly become Del Sol’s youngest and fiercest investigator. And then there’s drama with Levi Ravinder—the guy she’s loved and lusted after for years. The guy who might just be her one and only.

I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

simply put the novel should've could've been at a bare minimum been 10hours plus. 500 Hundred plus pages longer. the story was just getting going when (fast forward) they ended on a happy note (no spoilers)....
I hope Cara has some more lined up in this series... but gets more comfortable writing longer story's.
as for the production. great job!!! loved the editing and in the same room it felt.

Story
Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

this story was fun to listen to, at l but at times I felt like the added background production needed higher levels than it was given. hard to heard. they were in NYC for goodness... the phone have better Mic than the background noise allowed. didn't match.
the over all production was excellent. Great style of audio book to immerse your audience. 9 out 10

read as one big run on sentence
Reviewed: 12-22-21
the editing of this series makes it sound like one huge run on sentences. the monotone without punctuations and or natural pauses, makes for a rushed feel throughout. doubt it was the narrator. she charges voices to indicate the different characters quite well.

The king is missing, a secret organization is hunting sorcerers, and the capital is more vulnerable than ever to enemy attack. Worst of all, at least from Ridge's point of view, someone put that jackass Colonel Therrik in charge of the flier battalion.
