Dislike narration

The changing of the narrator threw all the characters off.. Elliot especially sounded like a i dunno high pitched annoying nerd. I am still listening but honestly this narrator is killing the story for me. Terry took you on a ride and gave amazing character to everyone and honestly, that is how I found this series. This new narrator is fine for other books, i have heard other stories narrated by her, but as we are what, 8 books in?and the characters were all set now she is just irritating. Grrrrr

I love NR however this book was disappointing

I did not like this book. Having been enchanted by the The Dark Witch trilogy, I thought this would run along the same lines.. It didn’t. The first two books were good, Anastasias story was not as good and this one was just confusing. The character came out of nowhere I spent the whole first half of the book trying to figure out who and how he was a Donovan. Once you figure it out it is even more confusing. I wont spoil the story for anyone that wants to listen but I did not like the character or the way the story was written. Of all the NR books I heave read/heard this is by far my least favorite

I got the story because it was on sale. I was not sure what to expect and I was not sure whether or not I would like it. I walk the story! I love the way it was we told as a Sherlock Holmes story and how the intertwined all the characters I would highly recommend the story

Canadian?!?!

It is the woman from Paris?!?! Imagine my shock and confusion when she appears with an American accent, oh no she is CANADIAN?!? I have just begun the book but this had me so baffled I had to write the review. For some reason she is Canadian not French and the accent and voice used for her is very distracting. I am hoping I can manage to finish the book as I love Santa Montefiore’s books but I am not sure so I am writing this review now...

I have to admit It was a little slow to start, However I am so happy I stuck to it. I was not crazy with the narration, the nasally voice used for most of the characters was super aggravating. I loved the storm sisters series that have been released so I wanted to try another book from the author. I am so happy I did not let the narration turn me off the book fully. I loved the characters and was happy, sad, angry with all the characters in the book. This is an amazing story I love how the past and present was weaved together and how everything came around full circle.

Redemption isn't a word Jim Heron knows much about - his specialty is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charged with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins. Vin diPietro long ago sold his soul to his business, and he's good with that - until fate intervenes in the form of a tough-talking Harley-riding, self-professed savior.

I like Eric G Dove as narrator
Reviewed: 08-20-13
I have not finished the book yet so I will not comment on that, however, I just want to add my 2 cents about the narrator. I know some people preferred Jim Frangione from BDB series but I will take this narrator 10x over him. I have listened to all the BDB series and as I did not like the narrator AT ALL. I had to keep telling myself that he is reading the story out loud rather than creating characters with his voice. I was able to get through the story that way and still with effort. He was narrator to another series I liked and I refused to go further than book 2 in the series as all his characters sound the EXACT SAME.
For this story, I can tell when the different characters are speaking with Eric as he adds distinct differences in the male voices with accents which further allows you to keep up with the story without wondering who is in the conversation. I do think it is hard for men to do female voices but he does a good job with that as well. I wish he was the narrator for BDB series. This is the 2nd series I have heard from him and I really like what he adds to the story.
