Despite the absence of any direct mention of Christ or the Catholic Church, Tolkien described his work as "fundamentally religious and Catholic." He was able to infuse his fictional world with theological orthodoxy through his creation of myth and a world order. Endowing his protagonists with Christian virtues, he also incorporated themes of grace and mercy.

The author had a great understanding of Tolkien and the Catholic faith. He did an amazing job of analyzing every nuance of Tolkien of his clear meanings and somewhat hidden meanings of Characters and events. The author/soaker’s accent although beautiful, it was at times difficult to understand if you aren’t from the UK. Other than that the author did an amazing job.
