Scandal’s Splendor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️by Collette Cameron
As a loyal reader of Ms Cameron, I have waited for Seonaid Ferguson’s story and have not been disappointed. Seanad has always been a special person, having the second sight being one of her gifts but her heart open to care and love for both people and animals as a healer.
In a hope of marriage, Seonaid goes to London only to realize people would exploit her gift as a seer. In her haste, Seonaid leaves to return back to her home resigned to her life as a spinster. It is on this return trip Seonaid runs into Jacques an impoverished French baron. Her past meeting with him was quite disturbing to her and she does not relish his company.
Ms Cameron has mixed an intriguing potion filled with affection, mystery and danger. I enjoyed this story immensely and would highly recommend it.

Jules, the Sixth Duke of Dandridge disdains Society and all its trappings, preferring the country's solitude and peace. Already jaded and cynical since the woman he loved died years ago, he's become even more so since unexpectedly inheriting a dukedom's responsibilities and finding himself the target of every husband-hunting vixen in London.

Jules, the Sixth Duke of Dandridge, has had his fill of society. His preference is the countryside. He loved once at a young age and has since sworn of marriage. His uncles and aunts constantly prompt him to marry. Ton mamas throw their daughters at him.
It is at one of these overbearing events, as Jules is dashing away from a young lady that he comes upon Jemmah Dament his childhood friend and childhood confidant. They were the best of friends. Jules finds her asleep on one of the library settees. As she awakens, she also awakens Jules desires for her. Jemmah has loved Jules from afar for many years but always believing he was far to above her station.
Jemmah' meddling mother, of course, wishes for Jules to make a match with her older sister. Both her mother and sister have treated Jemmah harshly she has been neglected and ignored by them. Jules, however, thumbs his nose at society and pledges his love for her.
This is truly a Cinderella/Prince charming novel. Ms Cameron carefully developed her characters and pulls at your heart strings routing for them to make it. I enjoy this book from being to end. I would highly recommend it.

This was a fully packed novella. It was full of chuckles in all the right places and love and compassion. Not to mention romance.
Yvionne Wimpelton has been in love with her brother Alan's friend Chancy Falconhurst since she was fifteen. Chance, too, has loved Ivy. When is asks Ivy's father for her hand in marriage with her only 15 her father tells him to make his mark in the world and then if he still loves her ask him again. Chance at that point enters the army for a six year tour in India where he suffers severe injuries losing several of his fingers.
Upon his return when he see Ivy he finds the attraction still as strong. Ivy, however, is angry that he never answer any of her many letters. Ivy knows she is only fooling herself cause she love him too.
After many twists and turns Chance asks her father again and he is very agreeable to their marriage. I really enjoyed the story. Ms Cameron brings her characters to life and you cannot help but falling in love with them.

Adaira Ferguson refuses to follow appropriate behavior. She wears breeches, rides horses astride and follows her own wishes.
When Adaira meets Roark, the Earl of Claredon, she mistakes him for his treacherous brother and imprisons him in the dungeons of her family estate. When he is finally released after she learns of her mistake he threatens to throttle her and he does to teach her a lesson.
Roark prefers his world to be very proper and at times can appear quite grumpy. As Adaira gets to know him she see a man who is sensitive to others in need. Roark is gentle and caring to his servants and his animals.
As a promise not to press charges against Adaira for his imprisonment Roark believes he can curb her spirit and make her a lady. He then realizes he is enchanted with this free spirited ways of this woman.
This is a very touching story for the couple because they both realize they need each other to complete themselves.

A family story not to be missed
Reviewed: 05-08-16
I found this to be a great audio book. The narrator just pulled you into this contemporary romance. Emma the town veterinarian has carried a school girl crush for the high school jock for years. When Santana Dark returns from tours overseas Emma learns how much he has cared for her as well. Full of hot love scenes but not overly done to my estimation.
The story is definitely a to be continued. When the Dark family learns their whole lives have been a lie and their true backgrounds and their fathers deception is revealed it is certainly mind blowing.
I would recommend this book and I plan to follow what will develop as well.
