Very easy to follow point by point debunking of cherished antisemitic claims including quotes from the high level accusers and counterpoint quotes from reputable sources. The narrator is AI so this isn’t the easiest audiobook on the ears but the information is worth it.

A highly compelling story of coverups and corruption
Reviewed: 03-12-25
Good story provides plenty of background on Epstein and the key figures in the case as well as mentioning the big names with ties to Epstein without engaging in conspiracy theories or speculation.
The author typically sticks to what the facts support, which is rare on topics like these.
The audio narration is kind of mediocre, which is a shame for such an important book.

Story
Vividly written and exhaustively researched, Jonathan Eig’s King: A Life is the first major biography in decades of the civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr.—and the first to include recently declassified FBI files. In this revelatory new portrait of the preacher and activist who shook the world, the bestselling biographer gives us an intimate view of the courageous and often emotionally troubled human being who demanded peaceful protest for his movement but was rarely at peace with himself.

Story
Hailed as the most compelling biography of the German dictator yet written, Ian Kershaw's Hitler brings us closer than ever before to the heart of its subject's immense darkness. From his illegitimate birth in a small Austrian village to his fiery death in a bunker under the Reich chancellery in Berlin, Adolf Hitler left a murky trail, strewn with contradictory tales and overgrown with self-created myths. One truth prevails: the sheer scale of the evils that he unleashed on the world has made him a demonic figure without equal in the 20th century.

Story
There was a time when Israel could do no wrong in America's eyes. That time is long past, and justly so - no nation is absolutely perfect, particularly not one that is engaged in a conflict as long as the Arab-Israeli conflict. But the myth of the perfect Israel has been supplanted by a far more deleterious myth: the myth of the evil Israel. This new myth has so pervaded contemporary culture that the history of Israel - as well documented as it is - has been recast and retold to fit a false narrative of Israel as violent occupier.

The book is a very revealing portrait of buried history as is the case with so many aspects of US collaboration with the Nazis. There are quite a few revelations in here that will shock you but also infuriate and sadden you but you will be informed by the time you finish the book. Good books should emotionally affect their audiences.

A must read
Reviewed: 09-20-24
This was one of those books I found myself getting obsessed with due to its attention to detail and its ability to bring the key characters in it to life.
The book is written as one part biography and two parts murder “mystery” and would make for a great screenplay or tv series as a result.
The book starts off as a kind of biography about Fred with particular emphasis on his organizing gifts and oration skills that made him such a force to be reckoned with. Even though I thought I was fairly familar with Fred’s bio prior to this, I still learned some things.
The rest of the book is a compelling account of the corruption and coverups revealed in the court-cases to obtain justice for Fred’s murder and the instigations into the crime scene.
I also learned a lot about FBI informant William O’ Neal, whose sketch of Fred’s apartment aided the authorities in killing Fred.
I ended up making 192 highlights in the book but it felt like I spent much of the time reading it just lost in my imagination transported to the late 1960s.
Highly recommended.

A disturbing chronicle of the US government’s mistreatment of American soldiers and veterans throughout history, with a new introduction by Charles Sheehan-Miles. Time and time again, the sacrifices made by veterans and their families have been repaid with scorn, discrimination, lack of health services, scant financial compensation, and other indignities. This injustice dates back as far as the American Revolution....

The book is also funny as well and I found myself chuckling out loud in a few places.
The MC’s progression is so satisfying that it keeps you begging for more too. You want “him” to succeed.
