Had a lot of forced PC points in it for the “modern” people I guess

This will be the second book in the 5 or so years I’ve had audible that I’m returning. It gets a lot better at the end but made very little sense in the beginning. For some reason they decided to talk about lesbian sex between two characters too which didn’t have any context for the plot other then the author saying before that they were soul mates. Just seemed very forced and very unnecessary for a Star Wars novel but it is 2023 now so I guess it’s supposed to be there. The narrator does a poor job voicing male characters as well so it was kinda a guessing game at times

Following a trail of clues across the galaxy, Luke Skywalker continues his quest to find the reasons behind Jacen Solo’s dark downfall and to win redemption for the Jedi Order. Sojourning among the mysterious Aing-Tii monks has left Luke and his son Ben with no real answers, only the suspicion that the revelations they seek lie in the forbidden reaches of the distant Maw Cluster. There, hidden from the galaxy in a labyrinth of black holes, dwell the Mind Walkers.

Slow to start

Very slow in the beginning but I feel they built up the plot very well. The end was awesome and I'm looking forward to the next book.
