Story
Women can be heroes. When twenty-year-old nursing student Frances “Frankie” McGrath hears these words, it is a revelation. Raised in the sun-drenched, idyllic world of Southern California and sheltered by her conservative parents, she has always prided herself on doing the right thing. But in 1965, the world is changing, and she suddenly dares to imagine a different future for herself. When her brother ships out to serve in Vietnam, she joins the Army Nurse Corps and follows his path.

One of the best book I have read recently

Wow, I learned so much from this book. As an Israeli living in Israel after the brutal attack on innocent civilians where some of them were taken prisoners, I see many similarities with the period of the Vietnam war. Governments that dictates your present and future and terrorists who abuse people and treat them like they are slaves and even worse. And you are in the middle, trying to do your best for your country like the young American soldiers and nurses who served their country, no questions asked. The narration is amazing. Highly recommend reading it.

A lovely and moving historical fiction

This is a wonderful novel and story. It is amazing how the author was able to build the story from the ground up. As a Jewish person I appreciated the historical context and facts about the Jewish community in Rome. I was taught in school about the holocaust and visited Auschwitz but knew little about the story of the ghetto in Rome. So, thank you to author and her diligent research. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves reading historical novels.

Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

I’m not for royal family dramas. But I do stay tuned to world news so I am not ignorant. I wanted to hear Harry’s version on what had happened since princes Diana died and how truly his wife Meghan was treated.

Texas, 1921. A time of abundance. The Great War is over, the bounty of the land is plentiful, and America is on the brink of a new and optimistic era. But for Elsa Wolcott, deemed too old to marry in a time when marriage is a woman’s only option, the future seems bleak. Until the night she meets Rafe Martinelli. By 1934, the world has changed; millions are out of work and drought has devastated the Great Plains. Elsa must make an agonizing choice: fight for the land she loves or leave it behind and go west, to California, in search of a better life for her family.

This is One of the best stories I have ever read. The story exposed me to the history of the United States during the Great Depression. Kristin Hannah knows how to bring history to life, love, family in hardship. She always reflects upon the power of women and their endurance. Amazing and powerful story.

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Story
Since the last guy turned out to be married, they’ve been easy-to-follow. Until him. Callum Huxley is a ridiculously sexy Brit, and the connection we have the moment our eyes lock scares the ever-loving hell out of me. Thank God I came to my senses before going back to his hotel where I would’ve ended up naked, panting, and unable to forget him. Thinking I walked away from that night unscathed was stupid. Sure enough, at the biggest meeting of my career waits the CEO of Dovetail Enterprises - him. It might be the most embarrassing moment of my professional life.

The narration was excellent.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone who understands that every human being is born different and special.
