Story
Evie Thomas doesn't believe in love anymore. Especially after the strangest thing occurs one otherwise ordinary afternoon: She witnesses a couple kiss and is overcome with a vision of how their romance began...and how it will end. After all, even the greatest love stories end with a broken heart, eventually.

Why bother falling in love?
Reviewed: 06-01-21
To see heartbreak again and again and again and again is disheartening. But to understand why we bother falling in love at all is a gift. "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."
Once again, Nicola Yoon has me crying about fictional love.
And as always, Bahni Turpin, one of my favorite narrators, delivers.

Story
Sophie works for the local florist, so she's part of every big event in her small hometown, delivering flowers and making sure things run smoothly (which they almost never do). This year, Sophie has tons of events to get through - including a wedding, a funeral, a Valentine's Day party, a Fourth of July cookout, Thanksgiving, and a New Year's Eve bash. And at each event, she runs into Andrew, the distractingly cute - and annoyingly pompous - guy working for the local caterer.

Can’t believe I made myself finish this.

This is not a cute story. The characters are annoying, the dialogue is cringeworthy, and the love story is forced. Would not recommend.

Story
First time I saw her was in the mirror on my locker door. I'd kicked my swim gear onto the bottom shelf and was reaching to the top for my calc book when she opened her locker across the hall. She had a streaked blonde ponytail dangling out the back of her baseball cap.... We slammed our lockers in unison and turned. Her eyes met mine. "Hi," she said, smiling. My stomach fluttered. "Hi," I answered automatically. She was new. Had to be. I would've noticed her. She sauntered away, but not before I caught a glimpse of her T-shirt. It said: IMRU? Am I what?

I wanted to like this so much more than I did. Kept waiting for it to get better and it never happened. I wouldn't waste my time again.
