The practice of what is commonly known as hatha yoga is but one of eight branches of the body of knowledge that is yoga. Yoga is a sophisticated system of self-empowerment that is capable of harnessing and activating inner energies in such a way that your body and mind function at their optimal capacity. It is a means to create inner situations exactly the way you want them, turning you into the architect of your own joy. Best of 2018 So Far ...
Reviewed: 04-28-18
What did you love best about Inner Engineering?
I loved the simplicity. No PDFs to download, no charts to assess how I compare to others or map out what I have to do next. Really simple to follow and process. Also, I loved how many times the author made me LOL at myself and others -- Sadhguru used short stories / fables that drove home certain concepts - really delightful surprises in this book for any age, walk of life.
What other book might you compare Inner Engineering to and why?
This is so far outside my "normal" reading selections that I can't really compare to anything I've read before, but I can say it's hands down the best audio book I've listened to so far in 2018..
What does Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I plan to buy the physical book as this is one I'd like to keep close at hand to reread and be able to share easily or gift. I believe that The Sadguru's sense of humor and intention is conveyed so well in the audio book and I'm not sure you could get the same experience from just reading. You can find his lectures and talks online tho :)
Any additional comments?
You know that feeling when you don't want a book to end? But in this case, it felt like a introduction to a big new area of growth and exploration. Very grateful to Author and other reviewers who "talked me into" this one. Thanks! cjb Arpil 28th // Ft. Lauderdale, FL USA

It accounts for nearly a fifth of the wealth for million-dollar investors and nearly four times the return compared to stocks. I was concerned from the publishers summary that this was going to be "other people's stories" about big wins and losses, etc... Thankfully I was wrong.
Hogue gets right to work providing just enough context to set the stage and quickly gets on to valuation and risk management processes and best practices. He moves fast and it will require a 're-read' for me but the theory, application and resources are very clearly communicated and well organized .. with zero B.S. filler content!
Also.. This book is every bit as applicable to pre-money CEO's as it is to Investors. I'm in the middle of a seed raise and needed a primer to keep pace with our financial advisors.
I don't rate unless i'm throughly disgusted (rare) or feel very strongly others will benefit somehow (also rare). Hope this helps. ~ Chris Berno / Ft. Lauderdale, FL USA

Story
The Code of the Extraordinary Mind is a blueprint of laws to break us free from the shackles of ordinary life. It makes a case that everything we know about the world is mostly decided not by rational choice but instead by conditioning and habit. And thus most people live their lives based on limiting rules and outdated beliefs about pretty much everything - love, work, money, parenting, sex, health, and more - that they inherit and pass on from generation to generation.

Nothing New Here But Very Well Done ...
Reviewed: 05-17-16
What made the experience of listening to The Code of the Extraordinary Mind the most enjoyable?
The author, Vishen Lakhiani has done a really awesome job of summarizing and consolidating many popular success concepts from other authors and combining them in a way that seem holistic and complete. Hence the headline .. "Nothing New Here, But Very Well Done".
What did you like best about this story?
None of the ideas and concepts were original or ground breaking in my opinion so if you've been around the success book block don't expect to find anything new. Having said that however, the way Vishen frames and connects everything made this a valuable read. He does an excellent job of referencing other books and authors who contributed to his work so the readercan go on kind of a treasure hunt if they wish to go deeper on a particular topic. This really helped me connect some dots that I wasn't able to do on my own from some past reading and I'm really glad I took the time to read it through.
Which character – as performed by Vishen Lakhiani – was your favorite?
n/a
What did you learn from The Code of the Extraordinary Mind that you would use in your daily life?
The appendix is super valuable as it provides some great mediation ideas that helped me quite a bit so far.
Any additional comments?
This book is well worth the time and $14 whether you are new to success concepts or looking to deepen your understanding of them. Well Done!

Have you listened to any of Erik Singer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Not to my knowledge, but he is an excellent narrator!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Strongly recommend this audio book if you have the guts to look deep inside yourself and answer some important questions about what might be holding you back from living the life you imagined. Enjoy this one!
Any additional comments?
If you have studied the law of attraction but felt like something was missing from the equation, Dr. Loyd provides an excellent solution in Beyond Willpower. Shifting responsibility and accountability inward makes a lot of sense to me and hence the book caught my attention from page one. Concise, engaging and easy access to great tools and exercises online made this a very holistic experience for me. I'm reading (listening) for a second time now and finding it even more valuable.

Excellent For Absolute Beginners ...
Reviewed: 04-14-15
Is there anything you would change about this book?
No so much about this book but about Audible. I wish there was a way to better profile books in terms of the content. It's very difficult to determine the level / depth an author goes into from just listening to the pre-purchase audio sample. This book is fine (great actually) for absolute beginners, not so much for the more experienced global leaders looking for comprehensive VA strategy and trends.
Was Virtual Freedom worth the listening time?
Not for me, but if you are new to ecommerce, online business and working with contractors (on or off shore), I could see this information being valuable.
Any additional comments?
Given the speed at which things are changing in this space, the Author's suggestions to use tools like Skype and Drop box are quickly becoming dated for power users of collaborative technologies. I also found the chapters on team building to be much more suited for entry level managers. Found my self rolling my eyes and fast forwarding a lot through long discussions about what's outdated business tools and very basic leadership principles. The author's website does seem to be a bit more up to speed. I don't regret buying / listening, but can't say this book provided any ground breaking insight or information for me.
