Story
Join the Army and See the Universe. That is the motto of The Third Space War, also known as The First Interstellar War, but most commonly as The Bug War. In one of Robert Heinlein's most controversial best sellers, a recruit of the future goes through the toughest boot camp in the universe - and into battle with the Terrain Mobile Infantry against mankind's most alarming enemy.

Great story, garbage recording quality.
Reviewed: 12-13-18
I, unlike many other reviewers, don't think the voice actor did a poor job. That said, the general quality is really lacking. There are a lot of times when the recording makes it seem as if there is a new voice actor or entirely new book for a few seconds.
All that said, was still worth it.

Story
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Blueprint, written and read by Robert Plomin. The blueprint for our individuality lies in the 1 percent of DNA that differs between people. Our intellectual capacity, our introversion or extraversion, our vulnerability to mental illness, even whether we are a morning person - all of these aspects of our personality are profoundly shaped by our inherited DNA differences.

don't think the minor political parts were needed, but otherwise good. narration is clear, not annoyingly performed in any way and sped up works well.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Aggressively "meh"

Nothing wrong with the performance or presentation, but the story is not the best. Definate similarities with the Martian in the style of the story and such but it doesn't fit this story very well. Main char is a massive Mary Sue which doesn't work like it did in the Martian.

Story
In December 1937, in the capital of China, one of the most brutal massacres in the long annals of wartime barbarity occurred. The Japanese army swept into the ancient city of Nanking and within weeks not only looted and burned the defenseless city but systematically raped, tortured and murdered more than 300,000 Chinese civilians. Amazingly, the story of this atrocity- one of the worst in world history- continues to be denied by the Japanese government.

Great book, but minor Japanese bashing
Reviewed: 04-06-18
An absolutely great book, especially the parts detailing the work of the international safety zone members as it gives you a clear image of the events. Despite it initially proclaiming to not bash the Japanese people as such it often sounds awfully like that. I find if rather impractical and a bit unfair and it definitely rub some people the wrong way.
