Story
There must be easier ways to heal and grow than walking 500 miles across Spain. But it’s hard to imagine one filled with more adventure, laughter, and excitement. The author sets off armed with idealistic expectations and a backpack. But then things quickly get real on the Camino, and she soon learns a thing or two about humility, vulnerability, and letting go.

Inspiring & Hopeful

Thank you for taking me on your Camino. I really enjoyed your storytelling. I have been reading books about this Camino for years. Ironically, I read "Renee's" book right before I read yours. I recognized her immediately in your story! I find your friendship lovely and I want to do this Camino with the two of you...lol. Have either of you thought about organizing travel groups...

Story
An unlikely pilgrim battles agoraphobia to reclaim life beyond the sofa. The 800-kilometer journey along the Camino Frances provides a scenic backdrop to ponder midlife crisis and chronic illness, an empty nest and marital discord, military service and post-traumatic stress, rage and grief, heartbreak and fear - and the way forward.

I absolutely enjoyed traveling the Camino with Lockhart through this book! Her voice was pleasant and she was really good at copying the accents of her fellow pilgrims. She seems to have had a beautiful journey and I found it inspirational. This is my 4th book about the Camino and I pray that I am able to experience it myself one day.
