Soooooooo good. I was tetering on mmm, this could've been a little bit shorter but once I got to that (mostly) unexpected end!? Such a good listen, worth the time. Highly recommend if you're looking for a non scary psychological thriller that you can just settle in with.

Brene gets you to think about your own behavior as a parent and the effects it has on your child / family, as well as the why and how behind the way you were raised. It's short, but powerful.

Great book poor performance

This is a wonderful book full of amazing Bible stories. It is painfully clear the narrator did not bother to find the pronunciation of a single Biblical name or city. Sadly he made them up as he went along. It was so annoying I could no longer listen. Also concerning, he had a nasal tone that I spent considerable time trying to overcome. It proved too much to overcome.

Whew!! This book is well written, direct, and transparent. Sharona holds nothing book, and you feel as though you're talking to a close friend rather than listening to a book. The power and conviction in her words and being able to share her story without shame is what is needed to help heal the brokenness in so many people. It was eye-opening and I found myself bookmarking several spots so that I can go back and dive deeper. I'm glad I gave this a listen. Now I need to do the work.

Just 🙄🙄🙄🙄. I only finished it because I was so close to the end. The story of Seamus and Willa was just selfish and exhausting, all the way through. The ending of lost all the steam and was dry and predictable. I love trilogies, but I feel like this one she maybe over committed and was over it herself by the end.

This book is well worth the listen. So many twists, turns, missed opportunities it's almost frustrating (in a good way), I always wanted to pick it back up wanting to know what was going to happen next. I found myself wide eyed and agape at several points in the story.
The narrator takes a little getting used to, but she does a good job distinguishing between voices. I was never confused about who was talking and when.
If you like listening to long books full of drama, romance and suspense, this one is for you.

Only 22, Emma learned to bake at the side of a master, Ezra Kuchen, the village baker since before she was born. Apprenticed to Ezra at 13, Emma watched with shame and anger as her kind mentor was forced to wear the six-pointed yellow star on his clothing. She was likewise powerless to help when they pulled Ezra from his shop at gunpoint, the first of many villagers stolen away and never seen again. In the years that her sleepy coastal village has suffered under the enemy, Emma has silently, stealthily fought back.
