Story
Queen Elizabeth II’s death ruptured the already-fractured foundations of the House of Windsor—and dismantled the protective shield around it. With an institution long plagued by antiquated ideas around race, class and money, the monarchy and those who prop it up are now exposed and at odds with a rapidly modernizing world.

"Disillusioned reflections and a disheartening account of biased narratives"
Reviewed: 12-02-23
As an American, I have a alit of issues with this book but I will highlight a few. I am truly dismayed with this book. It disappoints so much as I heard word for word what his biased revelations are in this book. In my opinion, Scobie not approaching the subject of Prince Harry and Meghan saying they are irrelevant to the Monarchy is totally unbelivable. They were and are relevant due to what tjis book accuses The Royals of. Actually it's quite baffling he doesn't talk about them in the same critical lens he applied to King Charles, the Prince and Princess of Wales. Also it sounds so bad that if I didn't know better, I would have thought Scobie to be a woman. Only because of the envious, jealous and misogynistic tone in which he discussed Princess Catherine. It sounds reminiscent of how some women speak of those they harbor "intense intense jealousy" towards. So for me this is quite confusing. Despite Omid's professed concern for the Monarchy which doesnt coincide with his hideous criticism of The Royals especially Princess Catherine, I don't understand why he curiously omitted any mention of Harry's struggles with substance abuse and the strategies they might employ to address this issue in the future. Furthermore, he seems to forget and failed to address the allegations of Meghan's bullying towards her staff. So they are releveant on how the institution would handle similar situations involving future members of the Royal family. This is something to seriously address. Then, while Omid readily highlights the number of secretaries Princess Catherine had, he conveniently disregards the fact that Meghan had a significant turnover of staff within a mere 18 months of being a working royal. So how does he say they are or their actions are irrelevant to the Monarchy? Lets us not forget the proven lies Meghan told in the Oprah interview. 3 days before she married Prince Harry and also that she was not given any help in transitioning to a Royal lifestyle, then as she went on to say her son was not going to be given security or a title because of his skin color. It's been proven over and over that Meghan lied or either she didn't quite understand. So as the UK has reached "a pivotal moment" of relevance for The Monarchy's success I just don't see he truly is concerned for its success. So, don't waste your time in buying this Audio book or any book written by Omid Scobie. It is a book about written with vitriol, inaccuracies, and appears to be founded or a journalist who colluded with Harry and Meghan once again. It seriously leads me to question whether they assisted and how did he get information about what the letter between Prince Charles and Meghan said, a matter which Omid discusses. Please refrain from purchasing this book.

I loved how Britney tells her story. however I wish she would of told us that she was NOW divorcing her current husband. and how she is coping with that. other than that it is a story of honesty and truth telling. Brittney in my opinion still needs to face many of her demons for the rest of her life and hopefully she will learn to trust again. she is not free from her mental issues. I also wanted to know if she is off all her medications and still going to agree to take them for the rest of her life. I believe she will.

I started this Audio Book late in the evening. By 3:30a.m. I stopped and decided to continue it later that evening. I needed to get some sleep. But I didn't want to stop it. Finally, it was complete. However I left wishing Dicky coukd of keep going telling me more. Learning things about Princess Diana I've never heard before.
I love how Dicjey went back and forth from his childhood to current time working with The British Royal Family. I was so sad to hear all Dickey went through as a young child. It brought tears to my eyes. Then, to hear the only man who dearly loved him to the fullest, passed away way too soon. I was so impressed by Mr. Dickey Arbiters life story. Where he came from to where he is even today in real time.
I'm so glad I bought this book. It's quite interesting and very entertaining. final analysis. I loved this book! ❤️ ♥️

Great Read!

I enjoyed each chapter. Lots of in this book is already known to the reader. I would like to note, Harry & Meghan have disparaged The British Royal Family. Especially his grandmother and Queen Elizabeth II. I believe most if not all of these accounts Valentine Low has included in his book are quite factual and legitimate. Considering all the lies Harry & Meghan have told. VL challenged some of those accounts here. Tom Bowers book Revenge has also challenged The Sussex's accounts. Unfortunately, many readers who have read the book Spare continue to compare Harry's accounts to many new released books. They have contradicted what he has written and told in his book tour interviews. I would not compare Spare to these accounts or even call Harry's accounts accurate. Again, he & his wife have lied many times. However, in saying that, Harry is telling his story in a perspective told through his lens and his recollections. Valentine Low is a reliable writer in my opinion and has gathered his information from COURTIERS and many reliable sources. We all will soon know in due time the real stories. "Recollections may vary". I vote Valentine Low.
