Story
United Nations Special Operations Command sent an elite expeditionary force of soldiers and pilots out on a simple recon mission, and somehow along the way they sparked an alien civil war. Now the not-at-all-merry band of pirates is in desperate trouble, again. Their stolen alien starship is falling apart, thousands of light years from home. The ancient alien AI they nicknamed Skippy is apparently dead, and even if they can by some miracle revive him, he might never be the same.

I have been hooked on this series since book one. Seriously these books can’t be written fast enough.

I really am enjoying this! All hail Skippy the Magnificent! Love the narration.
Author tends to repeat himself a bit. Like he wrote multiple versions of a conversation and instead of picking one, puts them both in in different parts of the book.

Story
As the Empire reels from its critical defeats at the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance—now a fledgling New Republic—presses its advantage by hunting down the enemy’s scattered forces before they can regroup and retaliate. But above the remote planet Akiva, an ominous show of the enemy’s strength is unfolding. Out on a lone reconnaissance mission, pilot Wedge Antilles watches Imperial Star Destroyers gather like birds of prey circling for a kill, but he’s taken captive before he can report back to the New Republic leaders.

Performance was too over the top
Reviewed: 10-15-15
What could Chuck Wendig have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The author introduced a lot of new aliens and content into the SW Universe, and is lucky enough to be the first book after the redaction of all the other content. However, while he introduced a lot of names of things and species, he barely described anything he put forth, Its almost like he was writing a screenplay and was letting the visuals take care of themselves for the films. (Note: Your wrote a novel so that doesn't work)
What didn’t you like about Marc Thompson’s performance?
The performance was the ultimate killer of the audio version. The narrator was so over the top with everything it became distracting from the content.
Could you see Aftermath: Star Wars being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I sure hope not.

Story
Sherlock Holmes is the greatest detective in literary history. For the first time since the death of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, a new Holmes story has been sanctioned by his estate, whetting the appetites of fans everywhere. Information about the book will be revealed as deliberately as Holmes himself would unravel a knotty case, but bestselling novelist and Holmes expert Anthony Horowitz is sure to bring a compelling, atmospheric story to life.
