As an African American it was very interesting seeing racism from the perspective of a Black European. I like that he offered his opinion on what has worked, failed, and could be done better. I’m glad that as a celebrity he was aware of his privilege but understood how little it improved his condition. I recommend this book.

Excellent account of a heinous chapter in American History. Many like Headline History but this book gives insight into the hatred and terror that all faced in the South at this time. How brazen it was and their sense of above the Law. A must read for a different perspective of Racism in America, then and now.

It discusses the planning of the protests by organizations and community leaders. It also discusses the spontaneous actions to Over-policing in the segregated ghetto communities.

Mystal explains how to protect the rights of women and people of color instead of cowering to the absolutism of gun owners and bigots. He strips out all of the fancy jargon conservatives like to hide behind and lays bare the truth of their project to keep America forever tethered to its slaveholding past.

This is one of the best books I’ve read. An in depth look at History that ties events together in context of the whole. Very good at connecting how what was going on in the Country contributed to who came hear and under what circumstances. Looks at the conditions that made these historical migrations happen and the effects. A must read if you want to know about the founding of this Country.

This is an excellent book. It brings to light enigmas in the American practice of Racism that answers not easily addressed questions. It explains why People of Color have not been able to used Education, Job Advancement, and the Political System to their full advantage.
