Story
The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave. He's always there, watching and waiting. And I can never look away. Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow. I didn't mean to fall in love. But now that I have, I can't stay away. I'm mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves. I'll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine. And once she is, I'll never let her go.

Filthy and graphic
Reviewed: 06-18-24
Language is raw and filthy. Constant sex scenes unrealistic and smutty. Violent scenes can be described that way too. The story plot goes back and forth in time snd is often secondary to the sex and violence, but it is what kept me listening. The end was abrupt and not surprising, but also did not really wrap the story up. I am not interested in any more of this author’s work. It seems best suited for someone who gets off on written porn.

Story
In this major study of near-death experiences with the newly born, babies, toddlers, and children up to age five, NDE expert P. M. H. Atwater reveals how those who experience a near-death state or other worlds at a very young age are profoundly affected for the rest of their lives, including developing psychic and intuitive abilities, higher intelligence and “wisdom beyond their years,” and a pervasive feeling of being “homesick for heaven.”

Very hard to follow, very poorly written
Reviewed: 07-19-22
The cases she cites are completely run-on with almost no supporting detail. Examples are many, but without substance. I enjoy most NDE books, but can't wrap my head around much of anything in this book. It is helter skelter. She says some of the cases occurred pre-birth, but gives absolutely no accounting of how the person was able to recall anything, nor how they NDE'ed. Same is virtually true of most cases she cites. One case runs into another, and it is hard to even begin to keep them straight. In some cases, she tells of the NDE, but gives a minimal accounting of the details. I have about an hour and a half left, and can barely make myself listen to it. I want to return it.

This is by far the worst book I’ve ever got from the horrible it just goes on and on and on and doesn’t ever make any sense. The narrator uses nice clean clear tones the author used nice big words. The subject matter wanders me Andrews and goes nowhere. I can’t finish it.

Can't really rate the story, impossible listen. I could not engage in the book at all. I really wanted to, and I tried. Narrator too heavily accented, and boring. Sorry.
