Story
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

This book was amazing I loved the podcast format and it resonated with me! More people need to read this book although it is not for the fate of heart, and maybe harder for some civilians but I was a military wife so I was able to handle a lot of his terminology and vulgar words but definitely a must read!

Story
From the 17th century to the 21st century, humans went from being almost universally agrarian with sailing vessels, muskets, and astrolabes being the most cutting-edge technology on the planet, to an era where the world is almost universally industrial or post-industrial with airplanes, cars, spaceships, computers, widespread electricity, and the ability to produce much more food than was ever possible before the Industrial Revolution.

I thought the information was great and well written, but the marathon lacked enthusiasm, and I would have preceded more time spent on the discoveries themselves.
