Story
Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

This is a great book and a fast read (listen). Really enjoyed the suspense filled pages and the main characters' heroism throughout the book. Normally I fall asleep listening in bed. Not this time! Looking forward to the movie!

Story
At a New England boarding school, a sex scandal is about to break. Even more shocking than the sexual acts themselves is the fact that they were caught on videotape. A Pandora's box of revelations, the tape triggers a chorus of voices--those of the men, women, teenagers, and parents involved in the scandal--that details the ways in which lives can be derailed or destroyed in one foolish moment.

Story
A funny, sad, and transcendent story of a young girl growing up in Appalachia. The New York Times Book Review called this Oprah Book Club selection "vivid and unforgettable."

Very touching story

I really enjoyed the story. Not a big fan of the narrator. Her accent is nothing like a true Eastern Ky accent. She did not know the tune of many of the songs she sang also. A bit distracting.
Makes me wish I would have read the book instead.
