Story
Monday mornings aren’t supposed to be fun, but they should be predictable. However, on this particular Monday, Stephanie Plum knows that something is amiss when she turns up for work at Vinnie’s Bail Bonds to find that longtime office manager Connie Rosolli, who is as reliable as the tides in Atlantic City, hasn’t shown up. Stephanie’s worst fears are confirmed when she gets a call from Connie’s abductor. He says he will only release her in exchange for a mysterious coin that a recently murdered man left as collateral for his bail.

Disappointing sequel
Reviewed: 04-01-22
The first book in series was wonderful. Second book not so good they changed the performer, pronunciation of one character name and lost some of the magic that made the series. Third book was a huge disappointment. The 2 main characters was made out to be a couple of young, ignorant timid women. These two went from solving murders to being afraid to walk down a street in New York. The worldly chef, Daniel could not even pronounce "gyro" correctly. The entire experience was sad and I will not be purchasing anymore of the author's books.

Story
It's the week before Christmas, and antiques dealer Weezie Foley is in a frenzy to deck out her shop for the Savannah historical district decorating contest, which she intends to win. Weezie is ready to shoot herself with her glue gun by the time she's done, but the results are stunning. She's certainly one-upped the owners of the trendy shop around the corner, but suddenly things start to go missing from her display and there seems to be an uninvited midnight visitor to her shop.

Changes are not good

Name change of Baybay to Bebe was disappointing as the first book went into detail of why she had the name. Loved the first book and couldn’t wait for others however I don’t believe I will try anymore of them especially if the person reading it is the same. She doesn’t fake southern accent well.

Story
Ever have one of those days where life just plain sucks? Welcome to my last three months - ever since I caught my can’t-be-soon-enough-ex-husband cheating with his paralegal. I’m 35 years old, and I’ve lost my NYC apartment, my job, my money, and frankly, my dignity. But the final heartache in the suck sandwich of my life? My great-aunt Maggie died. The only family member who’s ever gotten me. Even after death, though, she’s helping me get back up again. Too bad that bravado only lasts as long as it takes to drive into Huckleberry Hills. And see the house.

Great story but would have been better without the over use of foul language. Hope the next one omits the F bomb a few times.

Story line was good but too much “filler” and the sex scenes were a step away from smut. Voice of male lead sounded like a sex operator. Do not think I will listen to anymore of this series.
