Quietly, Astounding

I went into this story blind; no idea of the premiss, the author or the length. I was flabbergasted by how quickly it captured my attention and held it throughout the entire story. I read to distraction and often have several books going at once because I easily become bored. There was no chance of this with The Sound Inside. I laughed and cried all at the same time. The only downside is that the story ended before I was ready to stop listening. Needless to say I found an amazingly well written story and a favorite author.

Fabulous Frontier Follies!

I laughed, cried, and completely empathized with her funny, crazy, and uplifting stories. It’s refreshing to know how down to earth and normal Ree is. She isn’t afraid to laugh at herself and see humor in most situations; it makes for great stories I think the average person can relate to. I was hoping to hear of her evolution from blogger to tv and Walmart superstar but maybe that is coming in another book. If so, count me in!

Story
"I'll never forget that night. It was like a romance novel, an old Broadway musical, and a John Wayne western rolled into one. Out for a quick drink with friends, I wasn't looking to meet anyone, let alone a tall, rugged cowboy who lived on a cattle ranch miles away from my cultured, corporate hometown. But before I knew it, I'd been struck with a lightning bolt... and I was completely powerless to stop it."

Sweet, easy listening for anyone that enjoys straight forward love stories. Add a pinch of Ree’s dry humor, a handful of silly puns and a large dose of her kind and gentle manner and you have a perfect recipe for a down home romance novel!
