Story
Elite Guardians bodyguard/former sniper Christina Sherman has protected uncooperative clients before—but this time, well, her client is bossy, headstrong, and occasionally eats off the floor. Yes, he’s a highly trained military working dog, but certainly her skills could be put to better use, right? Not according to former Special Forces Air Commando Grey Parker. He needs her help to protect his dog while he undergoes an experimental surgery that could restore his ability to walk.

I really had difficulty putting this book down. The story of the Jews during WWII and the horrors that happened melded with a young woman discovering her heritage. A story interlaced with discovery in many lives and the Christian faith was so powerful!

Colleen Coble is one of my favorite authors! She paints a picture in my mind so realistic I can believe I am there! I love the history behind the plot and the individuality of the characters. I especially liked how she weaves the heroine’s faith and the thread of how she trusts God in every part of her life. A wonderful suspenseful mystery!

This Christmas story was very different. I enjoyed the characters and the story. Having just lost my mother it was difficult to experience some of the things I have just been through. But I was also encouraged by the way Terri developed the story. I loved the ending!

I really enjoy the author’s description of each scene. The characters are well developed! I enjoyed the suspense! I love Colleen Coble’s books! The narrator has a soothing voice and did a good job of changing voices so I could tell someone different was speaking.
