Story
From one of Outside magazine's "Literary All-Stars" comes the thrilling true tale of the fastest boat ride ever, down the entire length of the Colorado River and through the Grand Canyon, during the legendary flood of 1983. In the spring of 1983, massive flooding along the length of the Colorado River confronted a team of engineers at the Glen Canyon Dam with an unprecedented emergency that may have resulted in the most catastrophic dam failure in history.

How could the performance have been better?
I am from Arizona and they just butchered a lot of the words of the local places. It wasn't even close. Words like Moab and Mogollon Rim. It's pronounced MO-ab and Mo-ge-on it's a Spanish word so the double ll has an e sound like keys.

why doesn't this score higher in the searches?
Reviewed: 03-15-06
I can't understand why this book doesn't rate higher on the audible.com searches I stumbled upon it but if you searched for it through the search engine its so far down that it might as well not be on the site.
Great book and the first non-american to win the Lincoln award for literature. He is an American History scholar at Oxford university. He focuses on power and has many modern day comparissions.

One of only a handful of journalists to have interviewed the world's most wanted man face to face, Bergen explains the Jihadist network that operates globally and in secrecy.

Al Qaeda inflitrated American Elite forces

Gives a detailed review of the events leading to 9-11. One of the books strong points is it gives short biographies of the terrorists involved in al qaeda and the ideological background of the terrorists.

Learned little on Lincoln or Leadership

I came in with high expectations but I was disapointed. I really learned little about Lincoln or Leadership and I didn't like the narrator.
