Story
I’ve spent my life hunting the daemon who killed my parents. I swore long ago to do anything necessary, including summoning the deadly creatures to hunt for clues. When Azimuth, a sweet-talking daemon with ice-blue eyes and a voice like butter, shows up dangling the knowledge I seek in return for a high-risk job, I feel compelled to accept his offer. Sure, I’m wary of the helpful daemon, but the prize is too tempting to pass up. So what if my pulse races when he touches me or I can’t stop thinking about how his lips will feel on my skin?

Slow start, but picked up. Loved the new take on summoning. I would love to read more of her books.

The movie is among my top ten so I was apprehensive about the book. While the storyline from the movie is only vaguely similar to the book I enjoyed it. The narrator did an excellent job, though I kept expecting to hear Billy Crystals voice for Calcifur. If you are a fan of the movie go into this knowing the plot is not exactly the same but it's totally worth listening to.

I love all the shifter books but this is one of my favorites. Shelly Laurenston has the ability to draw you into her worlds and Charlotte Kane does an amazing job bringing characters to life. I have listened to this multiple times, I just cant get enough of those honey badgers!

Story
It's not always easy being a female warrior with a nickname like Annwyl the Bloody. Men tend to either cower in fear-a lot-or else salute. It's true that Annwyl has a knack for decapitating legions of her ruthless brother's soldiers without pausing for breath. But just once it would be nice to be able to really talk to a man - the way she can talk to Fearghus the Destroyer. Too bad that Fearghus is a dragon, of the large, scaly, and deadly type.

Loved it! My only complaint is that with a new narrator pronounced mamy of the characters names differently. After having listened to the previously released books multiple times its a bit irritating. however I'm still enjoyed it immensely and can not wait for the second book to be released.
