An amazing Conclusion to an epic tale

An amazing Conclusion to an epic tale. the way the story moves is delightful, fast paced, never boring, and what a tale... I have loved every book in the series and conclusions rarely are satisfying but Estes really nails this one.

Lose the loudmouth
Reviewed: 09-23-18
This is one of several of these books that i have. This one is the only one i have with some loudmouth, shrill woman announcing and both the beginning and END of the book. it is currently 2:11am and i’m typing this because loudmouth defeats the whole title of the book, SLEEP, when she wakes you up at the end. whoever thought it would a good idea to put her at the END of a hypnosis book is a knucklehead.

Story
The hit BBC series Sherlock has introduced a whole new generation of fans to Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary detective. In this unique collection, Sherlock co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have selected their all-time favorite Sherlock Holmes adventures, providing listeners a curated masterclass in crime fiction. Each of these 19 tales, from Sherlock's first appearance in A Study in Scarlet to the late classic The Dying Detective, is a potent mix of murder, suspense, cryptic clues, red herrings, and revenge.

Excellent, except...
Reviewed: 11-15-17
I love Sherlock Holmes and all of the stories. I adore Simon Vance as the performer. I have only two issues with this particular Sherlock Holmes series: first, the photo of the BBC TV show “Sherlock“ on the cover is misleading. For whatever reason, you can’t listen to a sample even now in November, because the sample states that it’s unable to let you listen before the book release in March 2017. It is now November 2017; still no sample. Back to why it’s misleading: the photo implies that it’s going to have anything to do with the BBC TV show, but it does not. It is my favorite performer, Simon Vance, narrating the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories. The only problem with this is the other issue: if you have already purchased all of the Sherlock Holmes books then this is a duplicate. It is not the complete works, but a compilation of the original stories. It’s not the book’s fault, it’s not the story’s fault, it’s not the performer’s fault. If I had to blame anything: it would only be the fact that you can’t listen to a sample to know what you’re really getting, and any other sherlockian picture should have been used if this wasn’t a performance of the bbc Sherlock.
