Story
An Imperfect Woman transports you back into historical eras seemly different from ours, yet familiar with human foibles. In this novel, you will meet Mary, an unforgettable woman with a lifetime of chasing perfection but challenged with unexpected turns of fate and complex relationships. From dirt floors and crude wooden plates of a dismal Missouri childhood to velvet curtains and imported porcelain china settings in early Denver society - . . will Mary's single-minded pursuit for perfection be her salvation or downfall?

The story is an interesting look at a woman as she tries to be perfect through her life and different time periods. The internal struggles she faces are so relatable as she tries to be a supportive wife and mother while appearing to be flawless to everyone who can see her. To make it even better, Linda Ross reads the story in a beautiful voice with different accents and inflections for the different characters! She is a natural story teller and knows how to keep the audience eager for more! I cannot wait for volume 2!

Story
It is midnight on the morning of Halloween, and Jen anxiously waits up for her 18-year-old son, Todd, to return home. But worries about his broken curfew transform into something much more dangerous when Todd finally emerges from the darkness. As Jen watches through the window, she sees her funny, seemingly happy teenage son stab a total stranger.

It took a minute, but then I couldn't stop!

Wrong Place Wrong Time is a well-written story with an interesting plot! It starts with a mom waiting up for her teenage son, and then shortly after a feeling of deja vu, going back in time. I wasn't sure I could continue listening because I was thinking of something more realistic, but after giving it a bit more time, I couldn't stop listening! The idea is fascinating and going with Jen through days she's experienced before and her mental dilemma about how much she could change was very engaging. I highly recommend this book and am back on Audible to look for more titles by Gillian McAllister.

Story
Getting snowed in at a luxurious, rustic ski chalet high in the French Alps doesn’t sound like the worst problem in the world. Especially when there’s a breathtaking vista, a full-service chef and housekeeper, a cozy fire to keep you warm, and others to keep you company. Unless that company happens to be eight coworkers…each with something to gain, something to lose, and something to hide.

Not Ruth Ware’s best

I love Ruth Ware’s stories and I couldn’t wait for this one to come out. Imogen Church does a great job. The book started interestingly enough and the first half was intriguing. But then it started dragging on and when it should have closed and ended, it kept going.

Story
Dawn has always thought there was a secret passage hidden in her house. But that doesn't explain why creepy things happen when Dawn's at home, or the spooky noises coming from behind her bedroom wall. Dawn is sure there's a ghost in her house! And so are the other Baby-Sitters Club members. But they're so busy with their jobs that they don't have time for a ghost hunt. Will Dawn and her friends solve the mystery...or will Dawn have to share her house with a ghost?

I LOVE this book! Ann M Martin sure does have a way with words. I liked how the story went and it was a calming thing to listen to while I was drawing. Since quarantine, I have been listening to a lot of audible and It has been one thing that kept me sane. I suggest you start with the first book and progress through the series, don't read this one first!
