Story
The Sabbat War is a savage Imperial crusade, cutting a bloody, burning path across a vast swathe of the Imperium's lost territory. On the front line, the stalwart regiments of the Astra Militarum, including the valiant Tanith First-and-Only—better known as Gaunt’s Ghosts—confront the relentless menace of Chaos, the Archenemy of Mankind. There is, and ever will be, only war.

It was all for nothing
Reviewed: 03-07-24
This is a spoiler for the story “Death of a Prophet” and also for the end of the series. In the last book of the series Anakwanar Sek is finally killed, and the Sabbat war finally draws to a close. Characters in the book even say as much, but with the addition of Death of a Prophet it makes it all for nothing. They bring back a new “Sek” making the entire series seem so meaningless. It just doesn’t sit right with me to have the series end on such a monumental victory for it to all be for nothing because of one story. The stories themselves aren’t badly written at all, but the inclusion of this one just left a sour taste in my mouth.
