Story
After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there's no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty. Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust. Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

The narrator did a great job with the variety of characters and this book was interesting for the start of the series. I was a little unhappy with how abruptly this book ended, but look forward to the rest of the series.

A highly infectious, deadly virus from the central African rain forest suddenly appears in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. There is no cure. In a few days, 90 percent of its victims are dead. A secret military SWAT team of soldiers and scientists is mobilized to stop the outbreak of this exotic "hot" virus. The Hot Zone tells this dramatic story, giving a hair-raising account of the appearance of rare and lethal viruses and their "crashes" into the human race. Shocking, frightening, and impossible to ignore, The Hot Zone proves that truth really is scarier than fiction.

I've read the book initially when it was published and was in awe with a hot zone virus ever since. Listening to the book many years later made it even better than I remember. One of my favorite authors found a great narrator for these works.

Some of these crimes are not popular, which makes this series great for me. I enjoy that the stories are not drawn out and make the reads quick, especially when you don't have a lot of time.
I'm glad these are now in audiobooks, making it even easier to get my "true crime fill" in between breaks. Keep up great work Mr. Neal.

I see everything. I feel everything. I watch people fall in love. I watch them burn with hate, anger, rage, and I see the cycle repeat over and over again. I take it on every night I work at Timber, aka Anubis’s bar in downtown Seattle, and then I help the rest of the immortals keep the very intense balance between Heaven and Earth. I see everyone's future but mine, and when I try to look, all I see is darkness, despair, need…

I really wanted to enjoy this audiobook but the narration was horrible; couldn't even finish. I wish when it's part of a series, they would try to keep the same narrator's.
I love the author & series but was very disappointed.

I've read the whole Brie series and Mrs Phoenix didn't disappoint on the series' final book. I enjoyed how she brought all the characters together and their own stories, to give closure to the series.
I've read several different book series', but never as long as Brie's Submission; truly a captivating series with extraordinary characters. Truly Red Phoenix's legacy.
For Pippa Jayne - you are a fantastic narrator but when listening to other stories you narrate, I hear "Brie's" voice; which is NOT a bad thing.
